sundays are for....

Sundays are for waiting huddled in the kitchen to place wrapped steaming bread directly from the oven into the picnic basket and piling into the car....

Sundays are for finding a mountain to watch over you as you fill your belly with wholesome salads, hummus and said fresh home baked bread.

Sundays are for listening to the gurgling, babbling and splashing of fresh river water below.....

Sundays are not for thinking too long..... but for immersing yourself.

Sundays are for discovering.....

Sundays are for fascination and beauty.....

Sundays are for fulfilling you hands and your feet....

Sundays are for being sun kissed and satisfied.... and knowing you will be back to visit this place.

** My Sunday evening was also about feeling grateful and safe and feeling a little hopeless for those experiencing tragedy not too far away**

What a paradise! I can't wait for summer, so I can take Levi to my favorite outdoor spots.

Tragedy close to home does have a way of making us extra grateful for the preciousness of life. My heart goes out to the victims of the bushfires.

I feel cool and relaxed just looking at your Sunday. It is a lovely thing when people share like you have. It is the simple things like a pleasant Sunday that make life just the best thing ever.
That water looks too good not to splash in.

Your posts are always so lovely to read and I aways love seeing your photos.
I was tagged for the 6th in the 6th game and thought of you...

What you have to do for this game of tag is look in your picture folder and find the 6th folder in there and then go to the 6th picture and write a blog post about it...
Have fun.

So beautiful! As you say, the tragedy not to far away is all the more reason to celebrate what we have, be mindful that this moment now is so special, that we are lucky.

That water is so clear. An absolutely lovely post.
PS I've tagged you for a game. visit my blog for details. I figure we all need some light-hearted fun to take our minds off the devastation in Vic at the moment, and there's nothing like trawling through old photos to make you grateful for your family and friends.
