rolling with it

We're still battling the cold weather bugs here.
The coughs have persisted as have the germs that finally got their claws into the Mama.
But I'm trying to roll with it.
So far we all did through another full weekend with Friday night dinner, red onion jam, work, a roller skating party (thanks Jen for the picture), playing with some of the book collection, and warming the hearth and heart.
Trying to ward off the chill.
I'm planning on a slow week, maybe with some Mama naps thrown in somewhere too... wouldn't that be just the way to roll?

the perfect way to roll. I always find it hard to surrender while i'm sick - i'm always longing for the moment when i feel better. however, the better always does come quicker if i rest up and just let it be. mama naps sound blissful as does the warm home. rest up and be well (soon). x

You know, I also find surrender to be so difficult when I am sick. There is something about the mama nature that comes out in me, and I feel as though I just have to keep pushing through. I hope that you are able to rest well, and enjoy some true down time.

Books by color! Love that, so much. I also love... Strawberries in salad, and salt candles! I am very afraid of roller skates (gym was hell in middle school, we hate skate days when it rained. I lived in WA state!) And I would love to hear about red onion jam... hmmm.

I hope you get better soon, I just had a rough week with it. I made my children watch the Ellen show with me. They've never seen anything like it before, but I love to watch tv while I'm sick. Its what I like to do!

Hope your feeling better soon....:)
I love your photos.
I like the rainbow book shelves. Last year I organized my clothes in my wardrobe in rainbow order.

Hope you all are feeling better soon! That same bug seems to be wandering around here as well. I love how the colours blend on your bookshelf. Have a great week!

Been searching for lovely retro-rollerskates for my boy. I'd even put him in my girlie skates from childhood if only my mother had saved them...
