...Homemade Rainbows...

There are sunflowers standing tall and proud in my garden again
There's something about them that just makes me smile
I think it's a combination of their larger than life existence
The way they tower over my head
Their green leaves that could easily cover more than one dinner plate each
My eyes can't help but be drawn to their vibrant yellow and then skyward
and I dream of climbing them, just like Jack and his beanstalk
I wonder what sunny land would live at the top of such beauty

They are beautiful! And, so much fun to have around. I've always thought it would be fun to have a field full of them.

They are beutiful!
Everything in my garden is rotting from all the rain. I might just go and scatter some sunflower seed around and see what happens!

Beautiful!...:)

I love sunflowers too. Im amazed that the Cockys and other parrots haven't found them yet!....
Every time I've tried to grow them they get eaten.

Happy New year...:)

Oh sun flowers! They really are one of the happiest of flowers, aren't they? Its hard to be blue around so much gold.

I am so anxious to grow some sunflowers. I love them so, but only a couple of the seeds I planted came up and I have so far lost 3 or 4 more to the rain. I think I have 3 hanging on.

My dream is to look at big sunflowers in my garden. These photos have reaffirmed that dream. I am going to do it.
Thank you!

I love how giant sunflowers can make me feel so tiny. I love your imagery of climbing the stem like Jack and the beanstalk. I think I would like an adventurous escape like that.
