a nibble

With kind Winter weather and a mountain of *stuff* over shoulders and in beach bags we recently snuck an early nibble of Spring.

We waited and watched to see which waves would knock down our sandcastles.

We ate a sandy picnic lunch in the dunes.

We climbed and we ran.

We spied pigface and beach daisies and dune grass.

We dug in the sand and bared bones long covered by cool weather clothes.

And we looked forward to taking more great bites of the same with Springs true arrival....soon.

Your pictures look familiar. We have been to the beach 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Its the perfect weather for it right now. Not too hot (although i did get burnt)
I went body surfing for the first time in at least 11 years. I didn't want to get out of the water, and your pictures make me want to dive back in.

Even though we have had warmer weather, I am still too much of a chicken to be dipping my toes into the water just yet.

Looks like a wonderful way to welcome springtime....
The seaside is one of my favourite places to kick back and enjoy.

Looks fun. I must get to the beach before it's summer and the place is packed.

Oh, forgot to ask. Why do I cut the banana tree down? This is the second year I've had bananas from it, do they have a short productive life?

I love seeing and hearing the seasons from the other side of the world. The water looks cold!
