seeking the sun

I found the sun today...
Just for a little while as it moved brightly between the shadows across the floor.
It was beautiful.
A welcome and warming reprieve.
An amnesty at the centre of cold air, chilled bones, grey skies and the drizzle of late.
It seems a lot of us passing the winter solstice have been gathering, somewhat dormant and dreaming, in the bellies of our homes and ourselves...
Seeking the sun.

I love this pic! Warm knitting cast aside, bare feet with beautifully painted toenails, the play of light across the floor.

Very warming words. If it wasn't so hot here, I would TOTALLY be there with you!

It's lovely to sit in the winter sun, nice to find a spot to sit awhile and take time out.

Oh you are beautiful. It is a chilly, bleak sort of a winter, nice when the sun spoils us...xxx

Beautiful photo and beautiful words as always. Ha, we have the same color polish on the toes. Stay warm and cozy.

aren't those little snippets of sun just fantastic - the sun seems to warm the bones so much better than a heater does.

One of my favorite things is sunight coming through and warming a winter's day!
Especially on a wood floor and The Things That Lie There.

It's so lovely to have that warm you all the way through.
